The Black Pine Lodge is our accommodation in the Hakuba Valley!
Hakuba Valley you ask? Hakuba offers the complete mountain experience, with abundant dry light powder, long beautifully groomed runs, and many off-piste and tree areas, all with an annual snowfall of over 11 metres per season. The winter months offer an incredible Alpine variety with skiing, boarding, telemark, snow rafting, snow tubing, XC (on Olympic tracks), snowmobile and heliskiing.
Hakuba provides everything from the complete novice to the expert skier or boarder to the backcountry adventurer. To top this off, the apres ski, the restaurants, the bars and the welcoming locals make Hakuba the pick of the winter resorts. With the Japanese lift ticket prices being amongst the lowest in the world, combined with the significant discounts offered for children and seniors (and special offers on many other days), combined with the everyday value-priced food and drinks there is little to compare to it. It’s little wonder that Hakuba has has been a Travellers’ Choice Award winner, being named one of the best destinations in the world by millions of TripAdvisor travellers, and easy to understand why we made it our second home.

About Black Pine
Black Pine (Kuromatsu) Lodge is located in a quiet setting away from the hustle and noise of Echoland and Happo, yet central to most of the resorts. The lodge is the holiday home of a group of Australian fiends, all past ski patrollers, and has bus shuttles to resorts available within a few minutes walk from the lodge and many restaurants and cafe’s only minutes away.
